Managing SAP rollouts globally with Atlassian Cloud
With the support of the MESKRU GmbH and the right use of Atlassian Cloud products, we were able to manage our SAP rollouts in a globally structured way for the first time. The combination of Atlassian expertise and practical understanding of project management made the difference - not only technically, but also organizationally.

Challenge
ifm electronic from Essen was looking for a scalable tool to manage its global SAP rollouts in the summer of 2024. The aim was to create a central project platform that would enable transparency, standardization and reporting across national borders. The tools previously used were too fragmented - there was a lack of overview and controllability.
Initial situation
Although the Atlassian Cloud was in use at ifm, it was not established for project management. Project processes were decentralized, progress reports were created manually and there was no central control system. Initial attempts at consolidation had been made, but there was no comprehensive rollout model.
Our solution with MESKRU
1 Develop a standardized project structure
We analyzed the existing setup landscape, benchmarked it against best practices and developed a scalable template project in Jira for SAP rollouts - from the initiative to the sub-task.
2 Centralize rollout control
Dashboards, reports and central overviews now enable clear rollout controlling, including dependencies.
3 Migration & Enablement
Existing content was transferred to the new structure. At the same time, we developed a practical training concept and supported teams during implementation and use.
Result: SAP rollouts that scale
The new rollout template in Jira was successfully introduced in South Africa and Namibia - and is currently being used in Turkey, Japan, Bulgaria, Slovakia and South Korea. ifm now benefits from:
